It's Church Health Month

From Gary Rohrmayer - President Converge MidAmerica

May is Church Health Month!

We are serious about church health.

Why? Because scripture mandates it.

The Apostle Paul in his letter (actually a field manual) to Titus, who was serving as a regional leader on the island of Crete, charged Titus with the task of strengthening the churches there. He writes, "The reason I left you in Crete was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished..." Titus 1:5. Some commentators say that Titus was working with 100 churches or more on the island of Crete.

Converge MidAmerica Latino Christmas

By Gary Rohrmayer

About 750 people attended the December 6th Converge MidAmerica Latino Christmas gathering, “Gloriosa Salvacion,” at Moraine Valley Church, Palos Heights, Illinois. Worship leaders and team members from several Hispanic churches led the crowd in worship both in Spanish and English.  Each church was encouraged to bring their children’s choir or to have someone from their church perform special music in...

Three Benefits of Taking a Church Health Survey

By Gary Rohrmayer
Is your church stuck?  Growing a healthy church is more about process than intuition! Our experience has showed us over and over again that leaders can only grow a church so far on intuition and giftedness.  To get to a new level of growth they must embrace process, planning and feedback.

Here are three benefits of your church engaging in the Natural Church Development process.

Ignite: Latino Lay Leadership

By Gary Rohrmayer

Dear Pastor,

We would like to invite you to join us on Thursday, August 15, 2013 to hear about a program called Ignite Spiritual Leadership Development.  Ignite is a program designed to train and develop married Christian couples currently attending and leading in Converge MidAmerica churches who share the vision of reaching out to the unchurched Latino population.  Although the Latino population is the fastest growing population in the United States, it is the least represented in the church today.

Ignite aims to equip and empower couples in our...

Are You Planning a Growth Thrust This Fall?

By Gary Rohrmayer

Do you believe that God wants to reach your community through your church?

My hope is that every church would want to experience a season of dramatic growth like the church in Acts 2 experienced, but the reality is that most are unwilling to pay the price for that type of growth and impact. A major growth campaign in your church will cost you something.  It will cost you your comfort, it will cost you time, it will cost you...

How Can We Be Better Together?

By Gary Rohrmayer

Its been said that denominations and churches are like families, but in reality they are more like blended families.

Today blended families now make up more than half the families in America. It is very rare today for an extended family not to have some blended family members.

According to Cyperparent.com here are some of the characteristics of...

Is God Calling You to Enter a Spiritual Fast?

By Gary Rohrmayer

This week there was a shakeup at Halas Hall that reverberated throughout the Chicagoland area. The real disturbance was not around the expected dismissals of the Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman and their General Manager Phil Emery, but when Bears chairman George McCaskey shared his mother’s feelings about the team’s performance this year.  The 91 year old team owner Virginia McCaskey (the...
